Lebanon Pavilion

A country, on every wall.

For Expo 2020 Dubai, Plan A delivered the immersive heart of the Lebanon Pavilion — a multi-projection content room with a mirror-finish black floor, and a sand-floored swing forest under aerial drone footage of the country. Two rooms, one story: Together, we walk.

The Project

A pavilion, with
a country inside.

Lebanon arrived at Expo 2020 in the middle of an economic and humanitarian crisis. The building's quiet grey exterior was a deliberate response to the moment — a calm shell hiding everything that matters inside.

Plan A built that inside. An immersive content room wrapped in moving images of Lebanon's landscape, archaeology, agriculture, design and people — and a sand-floored swing forest where visitors could "fly above Lebanon" on aerial drone footage projected to the horizon. Two rooms, one continuous story. Designed in advance, run on the night.

The Pavilion

A low, banded volume in the Opportunity District — branded LEBANON in English and Arabic under the cedar mark, flanked by a sculpted bristle wall. The architecture stays quiet on purpose. Everything that matters happens once you're inside. Opportunity District · Quiet shell · Built in months

The Room

A dark, reflective room — black walls, polished glass-black floor — wrapped in synchronised wall projections that cycle through Lebanon's chapters. The floor doubles every wall into the ground. Visitors stand at the centre of the country. Landscape · Archaeology · Mouneh · Identity · Abstract

The Swing Forest

A sand-floored room of ornate swings, suspended under wall-spanning aerial drone footage of Lebanon's coastline, mountains and forests. Plan A's content put the country underneath every visitor's feet — and a live music stage in the corner pulled the rest of the pavilion into a single room.
