A 1950s modernist landmark, restored by architect Karim Nader and re-lit for the city. Plan A delivered the façade projection film for We Design Beirut 2025 — alongside Atelier 33, who illuminated the building from basement to rooftop, tracing the transformation of the building and the city.

Designed in the 1950s and lovingly restored by Karim Nader, the Immeuble de l'Union shines again as a beacon of architectural continuity. Its curved façade, balconies and roof terrace catch the light differently with every passing hour — the perfect canvas for a slow, story-driven projection.
For We Design Beirut 2025, Plan A composed a five-minute film mapped to the building's geometry: typography, dancers, vines, and the changing seasons. Atelier 33 held the architectural light underneath — together, the building became its own narrator.
"Designed in the 1950s and now being lovingly restored by Karim Nader, this modernist landmark shines once again as a beacon of architectural continuity. Around its façade, Plan A Experience Design Studio animates the façade with light art projections."
